Establish Your School’s Team

YOU’RE GONNA NEED A TEAM. WE KNOW YOU’VE GOT COOL FRIENDS. JUST ASK THEM.

Team Must Haves

  • Minimum of one competitor

  • Minimum of one coach who is at least 21 years of age

  • One Registration Ambassador who will handle the team’s registration

Public & Private School Students

  • Approach your MSA advisor or talk to the VP/Principal

  • Explain what MIST is and its positive impact on the community(show the website and promo videos!)

  • Build your team! Whether or not a high school currently has an MSA, student participants may form/join the MIST team from their high school. All students from the same school must register together as one team

  • If there is no MSA, try convincing another cultural organization or even your high school to sponsor MIST as an official extracurricular activity. This may help to ensure that your absence is excused if your MIST-REgional is scheduled to start on a weekday

Home School Students

*The following rules apply ONLY to students who are home-schooled

  • Home-schooled students may join MIST if they do not have their high school diploma or GED and/or are 17 years of age or younger by the tournament's first day. For example, if you are home-schooled or are taking college-level classes to fulfill your graduation requirements or to take the GED, you can join MIST

  • If you are unsure whether you can join MIST, please contact us for more information at bayarea@getmistified.com

*Qualifications to join MIST are based on your age and your school grade. Refer to age restrictions here for more information.
